THE HELP CENTER LAUNCHES IN NASHVILLE
New Organization Aims to Support Ex-Offenders Integrate into the Community
(Nashville, TN) – The HELP Center will open its doors at 3918 Dickerson Road on February 9, 2015. The non-profit’s primary goal is to help ex-offenders adapt and thrive within the community through services such as education, employment, counseling, and other supportive services.
Founder, Tamika Braden, has a deep history working in the community through social services and other state run programs. When Braden conceived the idea for The HELP Center, she knew she wanted to reach out to individuals in the community that are typically forgotten. “While working in the field, I have met many smart individuals and who have criminal records. Most are educated and deserving individuals who cannot land successful employment because of their past,” says Braden.
While The HELP Center will rely heavily on the support of the Nashville community through volunteers and donations, the services provided will help ex-offenders become positive members of the community. As Braden states, “Everyone deserves a second chance.”
